At Renova Sustainable Agriculture, we believe in the ripple effect - small actions are always relevant. A queen bee protected is a genetic pool preserved, a tree planted is carbon worked back and clean oxygen moved forward. A poly-canopy grown is a climate stabilized, and a farmer enabled is a heritage saved.

What we do locally, changes the world globally. Your sponsorship pledge is never just a funds transfer or a dollar towards our budget - when you sponsor our work at any level, you become directly involved in our mission to restore the Commonwealth of Virginia. You remain as vital to our mission as any of our naturopathic apiculturists, regenerative Micro-Farmers, our tree surrogates and our groundwater stewards. We folks, with the sun on our backs and the dirt on our hands, cannot fully complete our mission apart from you - the folks that join us with your support. Your donations will matter to other Virginians - for literal decades upon decades to come.

We have four Sponsorship levels available for 2025

Roots - a sponsorship pledge of $15. Your pledge will provide the blessing of a Restoration Queen Bee to be raised for donation to a treatment-free local beekeeper, or for a melliferrous tree to be germinated and grown in our private agriforestry nursery, then transported and planted on a Renova Surrogate property, to provide 40-60 years of carbon sequestration and a renewable nectar supply for indigenous pollinators resulting from your pledge.

Shoots - a sponsorship pledge of $60. Shoots provides the highest gains for our Commonwealth, per acre of land or dollar invested, of any program offered. Shoots aims to target the contested landscape of our cities and residential areas - where zoning and uniform urban appearance requirements have wreaked havoc on our native ecological balance. We fight back with T. americana - the American Basswood - whose captivating beauty, long lifespan and prodigious nectar production provide Virginia lands with many tons of carbon sequestration over decades of growth, green groundwater investment, and the equivalent of three acres of white clover honey production per four trees planted. As a highly-regarded, tidy and regal Virginia Indigenous ornamental, it falls within zoning restrictions for all counties and cities in the Commonwealth, and quickly provides both canopy and foodstuffs to rebalance our native pollinator ecosystem. A Shoots sponsorship pledge will cover an acre of urban landscape with four T. americana saplings that have been grown in our private agriforestry nursery, then planted on a donor landscape, to swiftly grow into decades of protection, prosperity and beauty for the donor property, and to annually produce nearly 1,200lbs of honey potential/acre, for strengthening our Virginia honeybee population.

Fruits - a sponsorship pledge of $250. Fruits is an opportunity for visionaries and networking philanthropists to assist us in creating a strong local network of sustainable urban/near-urban Micro-Farms, with each Micro-Farm required to sustainably cultivate commercial products on their own properties of less than 5 acres in size. This is Renova Sustainable Agriculture’s most laborious project - your Fruits sponsorship pledges will supply new and emerging Urban Regenerative Micro-Farmers with professional on-site soil testing, soil tillage and permanent-bed shaping services. We also link all Micro-Farmers into our proprietary Know-Your-Grower (KYG) network, so that you as a Sponsor may eat of the fruits of your sponsorships. Local Micro-Farmers are an imperative link in our national food-chain, and your sponsorship pledge will assist in providing them with the services that they require, in order to be effective participants in our local food networks.

Wings - a sponsorship pledge of $750. Wings is a benefactor offering for our most influential donors. Wings will provide a gift of two Restoration Hive packages to a pledged treatment-free beekeeper, each stocked with a colony of Restoration honeybees and their own Restoration Queen, OR a complete 1-acre parcel of reforestation provided to a donor property - either with a melliferrous species such as T. americana, R. pseudoacacia, L. tulipifera, C. mollisima, C. pumila, R. typhina , or a stormwater redemption species such as S. purpurea, S. babylonica, S. nigra, M. rubra, or S. canadensis. Plantings are established at a density of 50/acre, with the exception of T. americana and C. mollisima, which are planted at a density of 16/acre in rural settings. Plantings are invested on independant Donor properties throughout the northern Piedmont and Tidewater regions, at their request. Per acre planted, avg. annual honey potential of 800-1,200lbs/acre is generated from April through July, and provides reliable nectar sources for re-stabilizing and strengthening Virginia’s native pollinators and honeybees, and thus our agricultural reflourishing through deep indigenous pollination. Per-acre lifetime benefits of hundreds of tons of carbon sequestration, new oxygen production and green-groundwater reinvestment provide climate stabilization and habitat for Virginia Indigenous species, as well as opportunities for agriforestry and silvoculture/polyculture cropping for sustainable land and livestock management. Wings sponsorships work effectively to return Virginia’s legendary fertility and bounty to the citizens of today and tomorrow.
